Fast-rising British pop-rock band AFTERDRIVE have released their latest single ‘Neon View’, while unveiling plans for their biggest hometown headline show to date.
The new track arrives as the follow-up to the band’s breakout alt-pop anthem ‘Fashion’ and marks another step in the Suffolk outfit’s evolution. Produced and mixed by Thomas Mitchener (Pixie Lott, NOAHFINNCE), ‘Neon View’ pairs shimmering synth textures with driving basslines, while frontman Ben Watts delivers the emotive vocal performance that has become a defining feature of the band’s sound.
Alongside the release, AFTERDRIVE announced a headline performance at Baths in Ipswich on September 19th, 2026. The show is expected to be the band’s largest hometown concert yet and comes as they continue to build momentum following a year of increasingly high-profile live appearances. The band has also hinted that further announcements are imminent, including details of its debut EP and a UK headline tour.
The release caps a busy summer for AFTERDRIVE. The group recently headlined the Suffolk Stage at Halo Festival in Ipswich’s Trinity Park, sharing a lineup with indie acts including Two Door Cinema Club and The Vaccines. The slot marked another milestone for the band, whose profile has steadily grown beyond its East Anglian roots.
AFTERDRIVE’s ascent has accelerated throughout 2026. After opening the year with a sold-out headline show at The Waterfront Studio in Ipswich, the band toured with The Entitled Sons before joining American singer Maggie Lindemann on a UK and European run, exposing the quartet to larger audiences across the continent.
The band’s breakthrough over the past two years has included supporting Ed Sheeran at his Portman Road Stadium concert in Ipswich, a performance that introduced them to one of the biggest crowds of their career. They have also received continued support from BBC Radio 1, further establishing themselves as one of the UK’s emerging guitar-pop acts.
With ‘Neon View’, AFTERDRIVE continue to build on that momentum as anticipation grows for both their debut EP and what is expected to be their first full UK headline tour.
