Madonna’s extraordinary career will be celebrated in spectacular fashion this weekend, with a new interactive installation taking over Outernet London in central London.
Titled C’MON MEET ME ON THE DANCEFLOOR, the free experience arrives on Sunday, August 16th, marking the pop icon’s birthday with a collision of music, visuals and fan participation across Outernet’s vast 360-degree digital screens.
Created and directed by London-based Lookport Studio in collaboration with Outernet London, the installation has been designed specifically for the venue’s immersive digital environment, transforming Madonna’s visual world on a monumental scale.
Rather than functioning as a traditional retrospective, C’MON ME MEET ME ON THE DANCEFLOOR is intended as a celebration of Madonna’s enduring creative influence, while drawing on the visual language of her latest artistic chapter.
Fans will also become part of the experience. Visitors can leave personal messages and photographs celebrating their connection to Madonna, with selected contributions appearing across Outernet’s screens alongside those of fellow fans.
“Madonna helped write the language of modern pop culture through decades of relentless work, constant reinvention and a refusal to stand still,” said Alex Wolf, founder and creative director of Lookport Studio. “We wanted to honour that drive and give the audience a genuine way to express their own connection to her work.”
The installation reflects Madonna’s long-standing relationship with her fans, putting their own stories and memories at the heart of the celebration.
“Great cultural moments are about bringing people together and that is exactly what we want Outernet to do,” added Outernet CEO Philip O’Ferrall. “Madonna has inspired audiences and artists for generations so it is a complete privilege to be able to celebrate her and her connection with fans in such a creative and interactive way.”
C’MON MEET ME ON THE DANCEFLOOR will be free and open to the public at Outernet London on Tottenham Court Road on Sunday, August 16th. The installation will screen at selected times throughout the day, with visitors advised to check Outernet London’s website for the latest schedule before travelling.
