Miley Cyrus is ready to turn the volume up. The pop star has announced her tenth studio album, ‘Bass Persuades’, arriving September 18th via Atlantic Records – and she’s bringing the new era to the stage with two shows at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl this autumn.
Cyrus will headline the iconic venue on October 16th and 18th, marking her return to live performance.
Tickets go on sale via Ticketmaster beginning with the American Express presale on Tuesday, September 8th at 10 a.m. PT. Miley’s Artist Presale follows on Wednesday, September 9th at 10 a.m. PT, with the general sale beginning Thursday, September 10th at 10 a.m. PT.
American Express Card Members can access the Amex presale, while eligible Spotify Premium fans can access tickets through Spotify’s Reserved programme. Fans can sign up for Miley’s Artist Presale via her official website.
While details surrounding ‘Bass Persuades’ remain under wraps, Cyrus has already begun building an expansive visual world around the record. She recently guest-edited a special issue of Wonderland Magazine, photographed by Mario Sorrenti and styled by the magazine’s Chief Creative Officer, Alastair McKimm. McKimm is also a close collaborator on the new album, while photographer Mert Alas has been tasked with creating its accompanying visual identity.
It’s a fittingly maximalist setup for an artist who has spent much of her career blurring the lines between pop music, fashion and spectacle. And if the rollout so far is any indication, ‘Bass Persuades’ is shaping up to be more than simply another album cycle.
Cyrus is also continuing to celebrate one of the most important influences in her life: her godmother, Dolly Parton. Their relationship has long extended beyond family ties and music, with Parton remaining a significant creative and personal presence throughout Cyrus’ career. The pair most recently joined forces for Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party, the holiday special produced by Lorne Michaels and co-hosted by Cyrus and Parton.
Now Cyrus is preparing to take the next chapter of her career to the Hollywood Bowl.
